The LaRue House

This home was commissioned to be built on five acres in Indiana for a client and her father. She wanted something simple, yet elegant, and had some very precise ideas regarding what she wanted for a floor-plan layout. Dave sent her three "sketches" of ideas that incorporated her requirements with the feng shui principles Dave lives by. She chose this one - essentially two separate residences under one roof - and Dave produced the architectural drawings she is now building to.

The great thing about this design is its simplicity and versatility. This client had a very limited budget she could build with, so restricted her basement size. Dave can rework this design for you to include a full-size basement, even make it a walk-out with a finished floor plan.

Or the guest suite can become a one-car garage, instead. Or add eight or ten feet, and it can serve as a two-car garage, or a two-bedroom suite, etc. You could also rearrange the doors, add an indoor fireplace between the den and dining area (or elsewhere), and/or change the deck layout - whatever it takes to suite your personal needs.
